HEDP 50 (1-Hydroxyethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid) is a high-performance scale and corrosion inhibitor widely used in industrial water treatment systems, circulating cooling water systems, oil fields, and low-pressure boilers. It is extensively used in power plants, chemical industry, metallurgy and fertilizer industries.
In the light woven industry, HEDP 50 is used as a metal and non-metal cleaning agent. In dyeing applications, it acts as a dye-fixing agent and peroxide stabilizer. It is also widely used in non-cyanide electroplating processes as a chelating agent.
Application:
HEDP is a high-performance organophosphonic acid corrosion inhibitor that chelates with Fe, Cu and Zn ions to form stable complexes. It effectively removes oxide layers from metal surfaces and provides excellent scale inhibition up to 250°C. It has strong resistance to hydrolysis, oxidation, and thermal degradation. It also shows excellent synergy when used with other water treatment chemicals.
